Crazy
but true! Babies are being born from babies. On the real, it’s not a laughing
matter because teen mothers are common around the delta area; so common that it’s
been accepted by people as normalcy. But the seriousness is not realized.
Dreams, hopes, and forget about fun because having a baby at the age of
fourteen is not the answer. I know a good group of 10 or more at our high
school are teen mothers and don’t know who the father is. Let’s not forget
about the baby daddies. They are everywhere and don’t take the
responsibility of the father. Everyone should know their mother and father. A
lot of it has to do with the parents too. Some them were teen mothers and that
can sometimes affect the child. I was conceived when my mother was a teen. But
I know that the ostentatiousness doesn’t have to be contagious. Many teens in Sunflower County have had the experience of sex and it’s
our biggest problem with the youth society. Some of my closest friends have
engaged in it and have encouraged me to try it but I refuse. It goes back to
what Chris Perkins was saying about peer pressure. Some people at school fool
people to act foolish and get them in trouble. That’s the cool way at school
and many people are cool at my school. All this is a lesson for me and you.
Don’t let your peers and the environment cause you to do things that you
know aren’t right. All of your hopes, dreams, childhood are not worth it for a
baby at an early age. Believe it or not!
